"In the Heart of the Night" is a song by the American rock band Poco, released in 1979. The lead vocalist for this song is Rusty Young. Young was a founding member of Poco and played steel guitar, banjo, and many other instruments in the band. He sang lead vocals on several of Poco's songs, including "In the Heart of the Night," which was one of the band's biggest hits. Young continued to tour and record with Poco until his death in 2021.
